President Grand Palace, Ong Pin

December 21, 2013. Ongpin St. Binondo, Manila - We were looking for a good place to eat after our accessory shopping and L remembered that her friend mentioned this place and so we went there.

It was a bit intimidating at first because we were only in our usual casual get up and the place looks sosyal not to mention the waitresses are wearing dresses and there weren't so many people because it wasn't lunch time yet. We still went in though because wewere really hungry and it was L's treat. Hehe.

Here's what we had:

Squid in Salt and Pepper. The best calamares I've ever tasted! Yum :D
Yang Chow Rice. Between rice and pancit, we all knew we'd choose rice. I honestly can't imagine life without rice. Can you?
Roast Chicken with Crispy Skin. This, too was really tasty. Even the white meat tasted good.
Overall, it was a great place to eat. We were super satisfied with the food and what I like about this place compared to other chinese resto in the area, you won't get pressured to leave right after you finish eating because someone's waiting to get seated.

Last group photo for 2013. My 2013 wouldn't be as awesome without you girls. I love you both!
I wasn't kidding when I said we were super satisfied with the food. I guess eah viand is good for 3 o 4 people or even 5 and the 3 of us managed to eat that much. Hehe. Gotta love girls with big appetites. :) E

TGIF, Glorietta

If there's one thing I love about TGIF, it has to be the ambiance. I just love the chill-out vibe it offers.

Why hello there Marilyn.

We've won 4k worth of gift certificates last xmas party and tried all these yummy treats.

Mozzarella.
Baby Back Ribs. This, I love.
Cajun Shrimp Pasta, my all time favorite.
Tex-Mex Mac and Cheese. I never thought a taco-flavored pasta would be this good. This definitely is a must try.
Nachos. We got free nachos! One of the perks of having our yearly xmas parties at TGIF.
Chicken Wings.
Mud Pie. Heaven!
The last time I was in TGIF which was on another branch, btw I didn't enjoy the food much. I was thinking foods that pricey should always taste good but then I learned that we just have to choose the right ones in the menu. We could ask them what their best sellers are or what they recommend based on our preference. That way, we won't go home feeling unsatisfied. E

Mu Noodle Bar

I love weekends. Who doesn't? I get to spend time catching up with friends. Last Saturday, I tried Mu Noodle Bar together with Sho and Goty. It's been months since we last saw each other and  it was really nice that we finally tried this noodle house we've been eyeing on since we saw it in Glorietta. It was still under construction then.

Beef Noodle (Thin Soy)

3 Cup Chicken

Cereal & Hoti Prawns

We weren't disappointed because everything we tried was mouth-watering.  We weren't giddy with the service though. If we weren't busy chatting, we would have felt irritated by asking for water 3 times until we got them and waiting too long for the bill and the change. All in all, it's definitely a must try. I'm all for food and the price is quite reasonable. I love the interiors too.

It was another weekend well-spent. I really missed these two girls. Whenever we're together we have endless talk about anything Korean like how rich their culture is, how beautiful Koreans are and how excited we are to go to Korea together and go to every single place we saw in our favorite kdramas especially now that Sho had personally experienced it already. One day. E
