On Rage of Angels

So, I finished reading Rage of Angels by Sidney Sheldon. It was one of my favorite books and one of the first ones I've read when I was in HS. I quite forgot why I came to love it then but I knew I did so I read it again.

On the first few chapters, I was like yeah I loved it because the heroine is someone I wished to be. She's smart, beautiful and was able to get back up after a hard fall. Also, I've always been amazed of the law, on how she won impossible cases and found ways to get around just to prove one's point. She got involved with 2 men, one was a politician and the other was a mafia leader. Pretty cool right? Not really because the catch is they were both married but they knew it was she whom they love. Ironic. I don't understand why a HS me loved this when it really didn't end in a happy note. It was sad actually that I want to tell both his men to kill themselves and die (actually one of them did die after shooting her. Crazy! I know!)! Yeah, I get affected like that. Thinking about it, that's the price we pay for living a kind of life.

I still love this book. It's one of the books that I want to finish in one sitting. It felt like I was literally there. Believe it or not, I felt sad for a while after reading this. I often ask my mom if something as crazy as these stories do happen in real life and I often remember her saying I wouldn't know but truth is stranger than fiction. I just wish that I would be spared of so much craziness because I think I've already had my fair share of it in the past. I'm not sure if you'd like the book and I don't care really but I loved it. I still have plenty of Sidney Sheldon e books and I can't wait to read them all.

Reading will always be my first love.

“Reading is the sole means by which we slip, involuntarily, often helplessly, into another's skin, another's voice, another's soul.”

Lately, I've been spending a lot of my time watching Korean dramas, American series, movies and even anime. Thanks to online sites where I can freely watch/download even the latest episodes of series I love to watch and to my brother who constantly download movies, it has been easier for me to watch whenever as long as I have internet connection or my laptop. :)

As I was watching a Korean historical drama, there was this character who loves reading and actually enjoys it that she can spend an entire day just reading. Then I remember my younger days when online world wasn't as easy as it is now.I remember spending most of my time at home reading books and I actually enjoy it. Sometimes, I get excited that I even finish a book in one sitting.

I kinda miss the days when all I needed were a good book, imagination and sometimes dictionary/thesaurus to entertain myself. I've decided to make "reading" a habit once more. I've downloaded few ebooks such as Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice and other classic novels that I've been curious of (plus I couldn't seem to find free latest ebooks ) but since the great Christian Grey is making some noise in Twitter world, I've decided to read the Fifty Shades Trilogy first. (Thanks to my friends who sent me the ebooks) My curiosity is killing me so I decided to finally give in.  I've heard a fair share of negative criticism about it but I guess as long as I read with an open mind not mention I am of age then it would be fine. :)

Do you enjoy reading as much as I do? Any suggestions for good reads?

Happy Monday! :)

I just love being a girl :D

Yesterday, June 21st we had a sleepover at Roxy's pad. (I heart sleepovers, I miss my bed though)

Anyway, when I got home after shift, I didn't feel like studying as planned (who wants to study anyway?) so to avoid falling asleep, I opted to continue reading Confessions of a Shopaholic. It's hilarious and interesting for anyone who loves to shop. I'm now on the part where Luke sent a thank you note to Becky and I stopped there thinking that I wouldn't be able to stop reading it til the end. Inspired by her, I rummaged my closet and started looking for what to wear. I've decided to look and feel fab at all times, in my own definition so from now on I'll make an effort to prepare ahead so as to avoid bad ___ days. Anyway, I went to Megamall after hours of preparing myself and stuff to bring. While waiting for Roxy, I visited Forever 21 and I soooooo love it. Gosh, it's huge and the items are not as expensive as I expected. I could stay there forever! Good thing, I didn't have my credit card with me (and I still haven't paid it yet)

... to be continued... my brother, rap keeps on nagging me! I'll let him use the computer first.
