My 24th!

When I woke up on my 24th year, the first words that came out of my mouth are "This is it! Thank you Lord". I have so much to be grateful for but my mere existence up to this day is such a huge blessing already and yes I am thankful. Hey, I still have a chance to work on my dreams and fulfill them one by one, be with my family and friends and grow as the kind of person I've always wanted to be. Those reasons alone make me kilig. ;p

Black Curly Hair + Red Lips on my 24th.
An office mate told me to wear anything red and I did, red lippie it is! ;p
It was a pretty normal day as nothing was planned except for the "KFC Tradition" that my family has been doing for the last few years. I woke up late and nobody dared to wake me up early except for kuya who told me that he was trying to wake me up to greet me when he got home just after midnight but I was in deep sleep and failed. (yeah, he's the sweetest! lol)

After lunch we went to the studio right away because we were told to and Kuya treated us for dinner :) I've been taking hip hop classes together with my siblings and I suck bigtime but I tried to enjoy the class since it was my birthday and I did! (I still suck though! Haha)

Dinner with my siblings before the workshop. I love it when we dine together since we seldom do this these days. Too bad mom wasn't around.
After the class, Crissie, my brother's girlfriend shouted  "birthday ni ejay ngayon" and after a few seconds everybody started singing out loud in different melodies a happy birthday song and I loved it :)
The overwhelming happiness didn't end there. When we got home, my friends were there to celebrate the KFC tradition with me.
Surprise! Surprise! (11:30 ish) I remember it clearly, I was walking towards our dining area when I saw and commented on the yellow table cloth when they started coming out from where they were hiding and started singing! I was surprised because I never thought they would go to my place since they have work the next day. Super touched and happy. I love my friends! The fab ones, indeed, never forget! :)

How I loved this day! With plans or not, I realized birthdays are meant to make us realize how blessed and loved we really are.

A big thanks to my friends for the effort to surprise me and I really didn't see it coming because they've been ignoring me the whole day and I was guessing a different surprise (LOL). I never thought they'd go that late to my place. Thank you and I love you guys!

Thanks to those who greeted me through text and via fb! It's funny but I've been comparing the number of greetings I had this year and last year. Guess what? I've had more birthday greetings this year! Yay for that. Haha!

If there's one person that I'd like to know how thankful I was (and still am) that would be my mom. Thanks ma! You've done a lot for me and I know you've made a lot of effort to make this day special pasaway lang talaga ko haha! ;p I may not say this often but I love you Ma! and I am so blessed to have you as my mom. :)

Cheers to my 24th! That I may have lots of moolahs, more time and resources for travel and (fingers-crossed) that super hot boyfriend I've been wishing for for the last years. (LOL)

1 Hour.

“Whatever with the past has gone,

The best is always yet to come.”

- Lucy Larcom

Last year, I welcomed my birthday crying, telling my brothers "I want to die". LOL! I woke up with swollen eyes but luckily it ended in a happy note.  I don't know how but thinking about it, for the past few years, there had been too much dramas few days before and during my birthday. It's disturbing because its becoming a trend, really. Ha ha ha! For a change, I will try not to cause any commotion to avoid waking up with swollen eyes. Hehe.

I've been planning what to do on this day since last month because I really want to celebrate and by celebrate I mean, to treat myself BIG TIME but due to unavoidable circumstances and time constraints I have to make some adjustments and I've decided not to push through on any of those plans. Everyone's busy on this day and I am busy too (unfortunately). I won't let bad vibes get in the way though. I can guarantee you that because I declare tomorrow will be sheer bliss- no room for negative energies just with genuine smiles and thankful heart.

I don't know where I am getting at in this post, seriously but an hour to go and I'm 24! Weee! I love birthdays and I don't mind aging. Life is like wine, it gets better as years pass by and I want to think that I too, am like that. I keep getting better! Yeah, life keeps getting better!

XO.

A birthday wish for my BFF.

Friendship is not a big thing - it's a million little things.

BFF.
I have many best friends but so far I only have one BFF. That BFF who never fails to appreciate and to put up with me. Since today is her birthday I want to let her know how I appreciate her. I'm doing this not because she requested a "melodramatic message" but I realized that maybe now's the time to let her know how much I value the friendship that we have.

Small things.
Our friendship is made up of small things that are worth remembering. Remember the time when we started talking to each other? That was when you approached me on a game during our PST. Naloka ako kasi baka ma-nose bleed ako sayo! Haha. Remember the sleep overs, the Greenbelt chapel visit after shifts, the "observe silence" sign! LOL! the senseless yet funny gossips, Goto King! the joys of eating lugaw! Haha, lunch dates, make overs, siomai food trip, CR photo ops, endless conversation, statement candies, laugh trips and a whole lot more.

We have been friends together
In sunshine and in shade.

but hey we've also experienced those life-changing, mind-boggling, heart-breaking sort of events together - the Bien-Tin love story - I've witnessed it first!, I bet you know the mind-boggling part (ha ha) that was when we tried to figure out who was who and the things after that, we were together when we were on the highs and lows of our respective "so-called" relationships and I value those moments. Those moments when we cry together, laugh right after crying then cry again. Weird! Haha. and thinking about why we did makes me embarrassed now lol but it never fails to make me laugh too.

I am grateful.
Thanks for not giving up on me. I know I am a lot of things and I am not the "model" BFF there is -- I am not good in remembering dates, I occasionally have mood swings, definitely not the cheesy friend but I don't know how you do it -- keep up with my moods, try to make me smile when I look "unfriendly". BUT I AM GRATEFUL that despite of what I lack as a friend we remain (and hopefully will always be) BFFs.

A birthday wish.
I am really proud of you for you've grown so much the past year. It inspires me to know that people do change for those they love and people indeed grow when they have to.  Continue being genuinely happy - you have a loving husband, a super adorable daughter and friends who are there to support you and I couldn't be more happier for you. You deserve everything because you are one hell of a person who may be bitchy at times but has a heart who loves unconditionally. People may judge you like I or everyone else's did  but just be yourself and they will love you like that. I love you T! I will always treasure our friendship. Yeah even the lowest of the lows because those made it nastier. He he

Forever BFFs.
Thinking about it, we can never run away from each other. Ha Ha! I am a witness/godmother on your wedding and Saab's god mother. When/if I get married and have kids you will be part of it too. Let's be forever friends T. I'm really happy that I get to reminisce what those two years of friendship had been because of this. *teary-eyed. Thank you! Cheers for more years of friendship.

With much love,
E
