Why do I blog?

I really want to make it a habit to write about anything in a day. It's not like I'm in a blogging competition or whatever but writing has always been an outlet for me. Ever since I learned how to write and put all my drama into writing I never stopped. Yearly, I keep diaries in various sizes. I seldom have one diary in a year and it's either I get it filled up or I get tired of just having one. I remember my mini diaries with locks on it that my mom used to buy. I still keep journals but they require more effort and time that's why I'm really thankful for One Note, Word and Blogger for making it easier to express what I feel -- No hassle, no fuss and I need not bother with my handwriting. Don't get me wrong, I still love using my hands to write long journal entries and it's more fun because I get to draw and doodle.

I don't really know why I blog and publish my posts. I get embarrassed when people quote what I said or wrote in person because I feel that they're being sarcastic and I go like "did I write something wrong?" or "was it my grammar?" but I do get flattered when I know that some take the time to read them. I feel sorry for them too, though because I might have wasted their time. Ha ha.

I guess the most important reason for all the blogging is to remember. When I look back 5 to 10 years from now, I want to remember what I am, what I've been through, what I was up to, who I am with, how I think, my experiences and how I've grown as a person through writing. I've kept a lot of diaries but I lost most of them when we moved from one place to another. I really am a sentimental person but the thing is I am also forgetful and believe me when you are this forgetful you'd forget even the fondest memory that you have at a given point in time. So there, expect more blog posts and oh, read at your own risk!
