summer + the fab ones ♥

“Here’s to the nights where the sand is your seat, the waves kiss your feet, your friends outnumber the stars, and even the chilliest of nights are still warmer than the cold one in your hand.”
-Unknown

I'm grateful to have met people like them whom I can share my happiness with, dreams (even the weirdest ones) and even my crosses. I couldn't be more happier. Thanks for the awesome summer memories (and more to come)! I love you guys!

I Wish Summer Is Forever.

I may complain about how hot days during summers are or the sticky feeling minutes after a bath but there are way more reasons why I love summer, the time of the year when I am absolutely at my happiest just because.

I loved summer as a kid because we don't have classes, obviously! Yay! Every student will agree, right? We get to visit relatives, play all day with friends without being reprimanded and go to sleep as late as we can. As I grew older I loved summer even more. Like in college, that's the only time when we can go on a beach getaway and forget about all the debits and credits accounting is very much full of. Ha ha!

So what is it with SUMMER?

Summer is the best time to make memories, good ones that will last a lifetime. Yeah right we can make such memories all year long but for me it's extra special when it's summer. I guess it's because people look forward to it, prepare for it (yearlong? think bikini worthy body) and make time to take a break from their busy schedule just to enjoy the sun.

My summers had always been filled with fun memories, whether I hit the beach or not. I don't know why good things happen whether I plan it or not and it keeps getting better. This year I spent my summer dancing in front of a large audience (you read it right), studying and taking risks (regardless of the outcome I was able to overcome a fear that I've been unknowingly nurturing all along), enjoying the sun, beaching and bitching (chos!), loosening up and appreciating the people who truly care.

Too bad we had a rainy Boracay getaway so I wasn't able to achieve the "tan" that I've always wanted but who cares, there's picmonkey anyway. LOL!

I can't wait for next summer! I promised myself that I will explore more beaches and I will be fitter.

Oh summer, please come back soon! :)

The Swimsuit Diary :)

Every swimsuit has its story. Some stories start the moment you buy it while some had to wait until they're brought to the beach (or some place else) and worn.

I've always been fascinated by swimsuits since I was a teenager but I was too conservative then so I never dared to buy or wear anything that looked like my "for-my-eyes-only undies". Then, I learned the art of being "thick-skinned" lol confident in my own skin. Thus, I bought these pretty little things :)
The classic cut
My current favorites :)
One piece and tankinis! :)
For the sexy back. My aunt gave me these :)

Haller Summer! :)

Early sunrise, scorching heat of the sun, halo halo/shake cravings, sunglasses, bright colored tops, swimsuits (gasp), flip flops are all indication that it's undeniably the start of my most favorite season, SUMMER!

Summer 2012 is AWESOME.
Just with the idea of going outside, getting tanned wearing the comfiest outfit there is makes me "kilig" not to mention the excitement the photo above brings. Weee! :) I'm also looking forward to beach getaway/s with friends. It's the time of the year when we get to make time and bond wherever there is water, sand and palm trees -- the BEACH! I already bought two swimsuits out of impulse just because they're pretty and so affordable. I couldn't resist! That's another thing I love about summer by the way -buying swimsuits for every beach getaway (or getaways that are yet to be planned) without feeling guilty. I'm not ready to wear them though. I have yet to achieve the bikini-worthy body. (Good luck to me! *fingers crossed)

Envious of their flat tummies! I wish!
Also, I will be celebrating my birthday soon. It's the first in the longest time that I got  excited this early for my birthday. So much for the glum old days because I definitely see bright, awesome days ahead. Have a happy summer everyone!

A is for Anawangin

LOL at my post title. This is a super late post but I really wanted to post it because it was an amazing experience. I went to Anawangin in May 2010, I guess. I can't even remember the exact date but I remember the experience perfectly. Chos!
Anawangin island is beautiful but the company of good friends made the trip awesome!

Hello from Anawangin! :)

Before Anawangin, I've never stayed overnight on an isolated island where there's no electricity, bathroom,  restaurant, cellphone signal and a comfy bed to sleep in. I wasn't scared because I was with my friends and I took it as a new "first" that I will surely remember. True enough, it had been a blast. It was more than I expected. It was fun and surely worth remembering. Good thing, we have an itinerary to follow. Thanks to Stan! Well, we were not able to follow the schedule but surprisingly we were able to do everything without even noticing it. :)
The picture looks grade school-ish I know. Haha!
When we got to San Antonio, we stopped by at the market to buy the things we needed. You can buy everything there even knife, ihawan and ice chest at a low price. The only thing that I didn't like was there's no 711 nor fast food in the area. Bakit ba gusto ko ng chicken joy for lunch nun eh. Haha. The carinderias aren't bad but they're not satisfying either. ;p

It was midday so the sand was really hot. Good thing I was wearing my wedges, yes my wedges saved my feet! :)
It was my first boat right and I loved it. I loved how the water splashed on my face, I loved how salty the water is and I loved how we shouted and enjoyed the long ride.
I was in awe. I never thought islands have tall trees and all. I particularly love this bridge. :)
Setting up our tent! Thank God we have Ronli who brought one big tent enough for the 4 of us. He taught us how to set it up :) Nakakamiss lang!
Guess what! there's Halo Halo in the island. A Caucasian even talked to us (Roxy and I) and said "we're like survivors here, survivor Philippines!" and we replied "Yeah!" LOL! We wanted to disappear right then and there. Hahaha!

Food Preparation. A+ for Teamwork. Yay!

Pictorial while cooking. Haha!

Night swimming and Anawangin sunset! :)
Kainan na! :)
The photo says it all. Laughtrip at its best!
Stargazing by the beach! The sky was so clear that night. This is probably one of the reasons why I love Anawangin. It's not like I can't do that in other places but I don't know I haven't seen the sky as clear as that yet. Sorry naman sa stars di kasi kita sa camera ko. Haha!

Good morning sunshine!
Anawangin Day 2

At the tent area. Alam na alam kung sino huling nagising! Haha.
Don't you just love the view (na tinakpan namin)? ;p
Preparing for mountain climbing! :)
View from above. We climbed the mountain with our bikinis on. That's how adventurous we are. LOL!
Panegrahan mode. The death of my dear camera. Writings on the sand. The fab ones kind of fun :)
Bye A. 'til we meet again :)

Ejay
